New website for local outings

I recently found out about a new website that features local outings. The website is called A Day's Outing - Find a great Day Trip, Weekend Getaway, Local Event, Things To Do, and it was started by two women in the Washington, D.C. area. It now includes the whole country. When you go to the website, you can specify what activities you're interested in (Fairs, Events & Festivals; Parks & Gardens; History & Heritage, etc.) as well as how far you'd like to travel (10, 15, 30, 45, 90 or 120 miles). You can also specify if you want to travel today, tomorrow, next weekend, next 7 days or in a certain date range. Just type in your address or zip code and the program finds interesting sites and activities. I tried this with my area, and it worked out pretty well. There are a lot of nearby places to visit that I've forgotten about and want to check out again. Let me know what you think about the website. Does it include your area? Is it pretty comprehensive?

Hi P. Great idea! I checked my area and it was fun to see what was offered! (of course, Farmers and Amish markets!) We will plan to use when we travel to DC and Baltimore. Thanks for the research!
