The Next Luxury Link VIP Event

Disneygal, if I am guessing correctly, putting together the pieces from what LL has on its site and from the Fall LL Newsletter you posted here previously it appears that the VIP event is not only for VIP contributors but for Luxury Link business partners, investors, VIP customers and industry insiders. You VIPers will probably be invited to the next quarterly LL VIP event which will be held for a day or evening at the Pierre in New York City just as the last event was held at the Bel Air Hotel in LA. It sounds like a great insider event but I don't think the board yet has 300 individual visitors so I would doubt that this event is only for message board insiders....too bad as it would be fun for everyone to get together and meet!

disneygal & claassenam...the Fall LL Newsletter indicated there were more than 200 guests at their first event in LA....we knowour Communitydid not exist at that time (although no one in our Community has neither confirmed nor denied to having attended the first event in LA).Probably the increase from"more than 200" to "over 300 guests and professionals," willbe additional travel professionals rather than a huge increase in VIP Members.

I agree on all counts - I doubt if more than one or two of the community members will actually attend. Although there's another thread where that question was asked. It was an attempt at humor, to say that the guest list will be filled with the likes of us. I sometimes find it a challenge to indicate "I'm kidding!!". I think we may needa special icon for that, just to avoid confusion!

OK, now I get it! Yes, I agree - I tend to be a pretty sarcastic person but sarcasm definitely doesn't translate well online...at least we have those little emoticons...

I believe you're right. LL seems to have everything well in hand and proceeding with its plans for the next VIP Special Event. These may not reflect any of our wishes, suggestions or dreams. Based on what I read and saw in thelast 2006 LL Newsletter, it seems many of the 300 guests this year will be made up of important people in the travel industry and not necessarily very many Community VIP contributors. It'll be very interesting to see how all of this unfolds in the near future.

Hi Everyone,

According to the Fall 2006Newsletter there were LL clients present at the event in L.A.. How did they find out about the first event hosted by LL? Was there a special invitation tothese members for that event?I wonder what the criteria was to receive that invitation.

I happened to know someone who attended the first VIP event in LA -- it seemed like the only criteria were that he had purchased one or two packages from LL and that he lived in the area.

How often are these LL VIP events held? Once a year, twice a year??? Any ideas?

Hello,

The first one was last year so it's hard to tell. My friend in LA said that it seemed to go over well and that some of the LL people at the event discussed having one at least once a year, maybe twice. I'd be surprised if it happens much more often because of the logistics and expense involved.
