The ONE travel item you don't travel without?

I always stick in a few extra zip lock bags of all sizes. Also we always have one or two of those small drawstring knapsacks folded in our luggage. They really come in handy to carry extra stuff and keep hands free.

Our entire bag is packed in ziplocs! Jumbo, gallon and quart.

I have a new item I am starting to rely on-- oval plastic canister from "crystal light" powder drink mix.
When we go out for the day using a day pack, it eliminates excess weight for sunglasses (and--GASP--readers) They all fit, w/cloth wipe--no heavy clamshell case for my Serengetti sunglasses.
And, we always take a tiny fold-into-itself nylon backpack for shoppng--wine, food etc...
