what a great idea--"fill-er up!"Syrene-1 wrote:
Really? do you seriously do this? That has actually always been a fantasy of mine - going someplace with amazing shopping like Milan or Singapore and just buying as I go.
You don't really do this, do you? If so, you may be my new hero.
I think I'd skip the make-up; sometimes after 50, it just looks/feel like spackling!!
Aren't we ALL naturally beautiful? teehee
Hong Kong--I took one empty and it was one of the bags attempting to give birth on the carrousel!
I wish I had the guts to take almost nothing--I'm a light packer but would that be a challenge! Maybe it should be a new reality tv show?"wherever you go, there you are"

Re: Packing Secrets
Syrene-1: Of course, not every trip, just as many trips as possible! When I went to Paris last year on business, I took a 9:00PM AF flight from JFK to CDG with only a small carry-on and my computer bag. Inside the carry-on was some make up, underwear and an empty folding duffel.
After clearing immigrations and customs in Paris, I jumped on the Roissybuss from CDG to Paris-Opera. Less than an hour later, I stepped off the bus in front of the American Express office and pulled my bag across the street and checked into the Intercontinental. My room was not ready, so I had a light breakfast and coffee in the Club on the top floor, checked my carry-on and computer bag with the hostess and walked about four blocks to two of my favorite departments in Paris Le Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. After a couple of enjoyable hours of shopping for sale items, I returned to the Intercontinental, found both pieces of my luggage already in my Junior Suite on the top floor and began sorting through my newly acquired treasures.
Four days later, I was back on a flight from CDG heading home, wearing some of my old underwear (washed of course), a new pair of jeans and asexy littleVanessa Bruno top I bought on sale at Printemps. In the baggage compartment was my duffel, now stuffed with all kinds of sale items I had picked up at both stores.t-2-f
