Couldn't help but notice this:
CANBERRA, Australia — Australian passports will now have three gender options – male, female and indeterminate – under new guidelines to remove discrimination against transgender people, the government said Thursday- Ω -

It seems to me that a transgender should KNOW what their gender is currently. If they are "trans" they are the gender they started with until it's complete, yes?? Are there so many TG's in Australia? Good thing I'm not trying to date someone there! If they can't determine their own gender, how does anyone else? Does eunuch fall under indeterminate?
I must say, I got a laugh while completing my Global Entry application--under "eye color" it lists " red (Albino) "...seems like "other" could work?Last edited by kyshel; 09-15-2011 at 10:37 AM.

On the other hand, spending a few moments in one of those full body scanners should help clear up the physical issues for the new passport holder.....but probably no help at all for the 'static' between their ears.
Well, it's nice to seeing a government taking progressive steps for the citizens! Wonder what will be included on the application form when I (am forced) find it necessary to renew my passport in three years, in order to be able to travel abroad?Last edited by omegaet; 09-16-2011 at 08:37 AM. funny thing is that you're not "forced" to renew your passport...gender notwithstanding!
What is progressive about this requirement? How does it benefit Australian citizens? Am I missing something?"wherever you go, there you are"

You have to admit it is original - not needed in my opinion but original none the less ;-)
