Personalized Icons

LL_Moderators...any possibility of developing a list of new icons which would incorporate the national flags of our Community Members? The use of the icons would be totally optional, however, those members who choose to so identify, would open up possibilities for communications when we need specific information regarding their counties.





Opinions?

Hello,

I'd like to suggest the ability to upload icons from your own computer -- that way people could be as creative as they like. I post on Fredmiranda.com, a photography forum, and there are a lot of very creative icons there.

I like your suggestion a lot. Adding a contributor's national flag to their LL Community icons would not only help others know who to contact via the Community for ideas and information on a country they're interested in travelling to, but would also make the icons a lot more colourful and exciting. Hope LL Moderators pick up on this great idea.

Now there's another terrific idea for personalizing the LL Community icons! Hey, maybe some folks would like to incorporate a small photo of themselves into their icon? That way, we'd all know a bit more about other contributors. Right now, as it is, we]re all communicating with folks we have very little ideas about who they are or what they look like. Again, hope the LL Moderators pick up on your super suggestion.

Yes it would be good for the contributers to incorporate a small photo of themselves into there icon. Weprobably have visions of what everybody looks like but I bet we are all way out. From past experience what I imagined people to look like, they actually are the exact opposite.

Omegaet - you seem to often be the bearer of LL community gossip! Where does this come from? Are you on the phone with Nancy in Customer service often, or do you have some sort of in that the rest of us don't know about?

Hi Omegaet. Great idea. It is like "service awards" at some businesses. Each "time mark" (quarter, year, etc.), would display next to your icon. (Service level award icons!) I like this idea.

mary-j, I can assure you that I would not put my picture on this or any other web site. I know, I'm just a little paranoid! Also, I'm not sure I would answer the postings of other members, if I really knew what they looked like---well, I might answer the really pretty ones! Thank you.

Itoo am curious about the 'rumors' about special recognition iconsthat you refer to in your post. Where do these rumours come from? Are they initiated by the LL Moderators? And, where are they available to be accessed? How are you privy to them, when other Contributors seem unaware, like me, of them? Please help raise the veil of secrecy on these rumours, as I'm very interested in the notion of special recognition icons (perhaps over and above the current VIP icon...).
