Phuket

Hi



I have been to Phuket once and stayed at the Diamond Cliff in Patong. Whilst the hotel was nice, i didnt think too highly of Patong and am considering both Kata and Karon for my next stay.



Can anyone shed any light on what these resorts are like and and reccomend any properties in these areas

We went to Hua Hin last Oct on a LL package (Thailand was second choice to Bali, but the pkg was irresistible) I used resources at www.travelforum.org for inside info from locals, expats and frequent Thailand visitors. I found that while there were a fair amount of budget travelers offering assistance in that vein, there were plenty of people who had stayed in luxury villas and hotels. The most exotic place I've seen from LL is the Sri Panwa villas--priced accordingly!! Please keep us posted in the Asia destination boards. Good luck!
