The annual fee is too much, but it does include entrance into the private clubs forContinental, Delta and Northwest and recently added American. Since the first of the year, I have been one of those air travel casualties frequently stranded by cancelled and late departing flights, so the clubs have been a safe haven for me.

The Priority Pass is quite interesting. You all sound like higher level members than me with your credit card. My Bank of America (USAir card??) gives me a free club pass each year and allows me to bring one guest. My husband also has a card so we then get two free a year. WEO! Not as good as most of your other offerings but at least it is something. I haven't seen anything from American. I do believe a few months ago they were "selling" one time passes to their lounges. I do admit, I love those lounges!!!!! I am the one touching everything, eating everything, and drinking everything. I never knew there were so many types of coffees from a machine! I had to slow down on the espresso. I was too wired to fly! Can't wait, we fly out this weekend for Virgin Gorda and I have a club pass! WEO Big time!

You sound like the real 'lounge junkie'. I too enjoy the perks that one often gets in the airlines' special lounges at most major airports and being in one is a great way to pass the time between flights. Who isn't a "lounge junkie"? We all love those perks! One perk I do believe in is: Everyone who purchases a business class ticket should be allowed to use their lounge. The last time we traveled to Aruba (I'm not sure if it was Amercian or United) we were not allowed to use the lounge unless we paid $50.00 per passenger. They can't even accommadate their own customers, and now they are offering passes through credit cards. Sorry, something is wrong with this picture.

Absolutely! With the high prices airlines charge for business class tickets, entry to the airline's specialty lounges at major airports should be automatic and given to business class passengers without being required to pay extra for the privilege. Not doing so seems a bad business practice and certainly not something that's going to build customer loyalty or cause their business class customers to rave about the airlineto friends and relatives.

The Bank of America/American Express Accolades card is not your ordinarycredit card. They charge a hefty fee of $295.00 a year. However it is free to the Bank of America Premier clients as an extra perk. This card also offers free companion tickets, but the first ticket has to be paid at a full fare. For instance,if you payfor a full economy fareticket to Europe($1299.00), your companion gets a free ticket when the ticket is charged to your card. It also offers travel insurance, rental car insurance, and more. If you do a lot of traveling,the $295.00 cardmay pay for itself. Or ask your friendly Bank of America Premier Customer representative if he can get you one for free.....

Very interesting. We really do not have Bank of America in our area yet (small town.) I do believe we might have one on the outskirts. I will call them and check it out. We do have their credit card but it was gotten through the web site and not directly at a Bank. Does the $295 fee include the airline clubs? I will check it out today.

There are several Bank of America credit cards available, Qualitiy Hotels is one that we have and that I know of. It is the American Express Accolade's card with Bank of America that gives the perks. Yes, the $295 annual fee does include the Priority Pass perk and the free companion tickets, and from what I understand, it gives you 2500 or is it 25000? points after your first purchase (haven't received any points yet....). We happen to have some of our investments with Bank of America and so our investment agent suggested the card as a good deal. I am at the public library again - (no internet access at the house for the summer) and I don't have theAMEX card on me, butwhen I get a chance, I will have a look at the backside of the card for theirweb access for more details on the net.I'll let you know.
