Private Auctions

I might be one of the few community members who visit Private Auctions from time to time. At least, I never see anyone else posting a comment or discussing their purchase. I realize you must be a member to purchase, but we're all members, at least here in the community.

Anyone have any ideas what the LL strategy is for Private Auctions?

I get the idea that we have to be LL members to bid, which is as simple of signing up and giving your email address and credit card. Where I get confused is why there is a separate catagory. What makes these different and "Private?"

Maybe I should just let it go and move on.

Sometimes they tend to be a bit more expensive than the regular ones up for auction

I look at the Private Auctions now and then and keep thinking I will see an expansion of choices.

I have the feeling (hope) that LL has future exciting plans for this category and will make them only available to Community Members.

I just looked at the current Private Auction offering of Mustique which looked lovely. I think these Private Auction properties are managed separately and are often a category above the usual offerings. I must say, I usually do not look at these Private Auctions, but it might be worthwhile to access them from time to time.

I would like to see the Private Auctions expanded with more top end and exclusive properties.

Then, I would like to encourage Luxury Link to permit VIP Contributors the opportunity to "double up" on the value of their VIP Certificates, when bidding on one of these packages.

Hey, j-s-2, now that's showing us a little creative thinking. I like the idea of being able to bid on one of these really deluxe Private Auction destinations and then getting double value for a VIP Certificate.

Maybe the staff at Luxury Link will take a close look at this suggestion.
