Reservation Dates?

How do you know that you can get the dates that you want for the property that you are bidding on? I'm interested in a place that has availability listed from Jan-April but I want to go at a specific time. Any suggestions?

Great question. Two ways. 1. Call/email the property directly and check your dates with them. Also ask them how occupancy is at that time. Many times I tell them I am bidding on an LL auction so might not be able to get back to them for a few days. Get the persons name. 2. Call the toll free number listed next to the package on LL. I haven't used this option to confirm a property yet but hope to within a few weeks.

Bonnie, I'm glad that you posted about this one with all your experience here. I've only confirmed one package and the property conveniently lists availability on their website.

Sunsearcher, I'd check to see if that's an option and then call them to confirm it, like Bonnie said.

It really is important to call the hotel in advance to see if and how much space is available and mention that you are bidding on an LL package. I have found that in most small, boutique hotels, the reservationist is usually aware of LL packages for their hotel and can help you right away, but sometimes the larger hotel reservationists are not aware and cannot help you... if this happens, ask to speak to a manager.
