Maybe some of you are enrolled in LANs KMS, as are we. I really hated to see this notice dropped in my email this morning. Shades of more 'improvements' coming in all frequent flier programs:

Currently, you can use your LANPASS KMS. to redeem upgrades for a higher service class (Premium Business or Premium Economy) on LAN flights once you have purchased a ticket in Economy class.
However, we would like to inform you that as of November 1st, 2012, redeeming upgrades using LANPASS KMS. will only be available as an exclusive benefit for LANPASS Elite members belonging to the Comodoro, Premium Silver and Premium categories. YUCK! I did see this also. Will continue using my BA/AA points for Lan. I think that will still work. (PS-USED BA AVIOS for Lan flights from SCL to Mendoza and from Bariloche to BA. Nice and not many points needed.)
