Rick Steves Audio Tours for Europe - Highly Recommended
My wife and I downloaded some of the Rick Steves Audio Tours on our iPhones prior to our recent trip to Italy and I highly recommend them. The tours are extremely informative and spoken at a good pace. We were able to avoid feeling like cattle being prodded along and were able to move as quickly or as slowly as we wanted, hitting the pause button to spend more time somewhere or to take a rest. In Rome, we listened to the St. Peter's Basilica, Roman Forum, Colosseum and Sistine Chapel downloads, in Florence, the Accademia and Michelangelo's David, as well as the Uffizi Gallery, in Venice, the Grand Canal Cruise, St. Mark's Square and St. Mark's Basilica.
The downloads are free and available for several countries (Austria, Germany, England, France, Greece, Turkey and Italy). Here's the link:

Thanks for the tip! I haven't been a big audio guide guy and I know that I am missing out on so much.
