Show and Tell
Anyone care to tell about their 1TURKEYCM special deals??
I got one pkg for the Hoffmeister, Prague for next fall--it was a great deal to begin with but the extra 15% made it SUITE-R!!!
Released a Hong Kong pkg at 3am last night
Still waiting for the next few hours on another pkg to _________
I had a trouble finding auctions that extended past Dec 19, 2010 for places I wanted to visit.
TO ALL AT LL--many thanks to give for great specials. This promo was SUPER fun. I was obsessed the entire weekend!
Let's do it again sometime soon!
Cheers!"wherever you go, there you are"

Only purchased one package....would have purchased at least one or maybe two additional, but the expiration dates didn't fit my available travel schedule.
Bought the two night auction package at The Hotel Stoneleigh in Dallas (going to Dallas on a biz trip and decided to extend for two additional nights). It is great hotel, old and stately, but totally renovated with all the latest bells and whistles.
The best part of the purchase was using the 1TURKEYCM discount code and an old VIP CERT....when all of the dust settled, my out of pocket was $51.00....but the package includes a $50 dining credit each of the two days, plus in and out valet parking, plus champagne, plus all taxes, plus, plus....
May not be an "exotic" destination, but it's perfect for me and self-parking and taxes on my other hotel stay will exceed $51.00.
I agree with kyshel, and probably several other Community Members......go ahead and surprise us with deals like this anytime!- Ω -

I got an AZ Spa Resort package & wanted to bid on a 5 bedroom villa but it was too challenging to get our group of 8 - 10 people organized & committed to it in such short order.
I agree with the comment that right now there seems to be an abundance of auctions with availability only thru December - too short since that's only 1 month to use it & Dec is always jammed packed with family commitments. But I would imagine that soon we'll see many of those same packages appearing with longer 2011 dates.
It was a GREAT boost. It WAS exciting! I hope we see something like that again soon. Thanks LL!

I got one package for the Langham Place in Hong Kong, but not the other for Langham <waaaah>
After checking with res about blackout dates, they now say LP won't allow usage on the dates we want! Now I have to play the scramble game...and HOPE the Langham will take us for that period. (no extra discount but, c'est la vie--it's still a great buy for HKG!))
I keep checking out those AZ spas and there are great deals if they include the massages. I found some of the spa pricing out of this world (just can't fathom $115 for 50 mins?) Hope it's awesome and of course, you'll report back!"wherever you go, there you are"

I contacted Luxury Link on Friday morning to see if we could combine the discount with our VIP certificates. They responded late Monday morning, way too late for me to buy anything. Too bad since there are several properties I'm interested in.

Any idea if the discount would apply to an auction that was open someone bid on over the weekend but closed after the deadline for the discount?

yes--that was mentioned--as long as you were the last bidder midnight PST Monday, and if the auction closed after that time, it was valid.
I actually woke up and decided to check one auction I wanted and saw my clock was 3:39AM--too late and someone else bid as I slept. Snooze/lose. It worked out fine because the competing bids drove it close to the 15% differential, so it was nominal and I didn't have to sweat it out!
I guess that's similar to the $1 bid mystery auction winner (sept??)--auction started before EOM and ended during the next month--that was one of our lucky community members!Last edited by kyshel; 12-04-2010 at 02:35 PM.
