There is also a funny video making the rounds saying the president of Spirit Air started the new carry on fee so folks won't put things in the overhead bin and he can then use the overhead bins as new 1st class sleeping pods. I can't remember the link but the video was very funny

I saw the video and I thought it was funny....the company just thrives off of negative press!

I use Terminal#3 at FLL frequently, when flying JetBlue and I am amazed just how busy Spirit Airlines (they use Terminal#4) remains in spite of their fee structures. I am in the camp that loves to hate them and I use them at least once a year to fly into Central America.

Evidently the FaceBook campaign paid off - Spirit is going to refund the dying vet his money!
Maybe a FaceBook campaign to stop the insane adding of fees would work too

As long as we keep flying spirit they will keep giving us crazy fees.. Cus people pay them.
