01-06-2008, 08:17 PMSt. Martin or St. Barts Adults Only?
We are planning a trip to St. Martin and/or St. Barts in Mid to end of February and am having a tough time finding an adults only hotel. Can anyone suggest a few options? We are also looking for Adult activities while there so a few options would be greatly appreciated.
We have 2 small kids and if we don't travel with them we want to be completely kid free.
Thanks.

I'm not aware of any adults only hotels on either island, but I don't go every season. I think it would be difficult for a hotel to make that restriction work. You would most likely have to look for alternative lifestyle clubs or all-inclusive resorts. There are many in Riviera Maya and Dominican Republic, if that has any appeal. You can probably rent a villa very easily--St. Martin has lots of very private ones on the French side.

I can't give a personal recommendation, but I can't imagine there are too many children at La Samanna. They offer day cruises , a car rental to explore, gourmet dinning, along with the usual outdoor activities. I would email them to ask about the stats for child guests. Just remember any children you see are not yours and you don't have to do anything but run when they cry.

Hi. I am a little familiar with the area and I don't believe any resorts are NO children. Be careful with that also. I know of another property that doesn't allow children under the age of 12. Well, some people do bring their children which can be frustrating. My opinion to you would be to rent a villa. This would solve the children issue. You really need to get booking soon because this is a VERY busy time with holidays, Valentines Day, and spring breaks. In St. Barts, Villa Natanya is up for bid (not sure if you can use in in February.) If you don't see anything on Luxury Link, check Wimco. They offer luxury villas in St. Maarten and St. Barths.

I think BonnieJoy is right, though it's been a bit of time since I've been down there. Between the two islands, if you are going with out kids, I think you are better off at St. Barths than St. Maartin.
Have fun.
