12-21-2010, 02:25 PMStaying home or traveling?
What are your plans for the holidays? I'm driving a very, very short distance to be with friends. I just hate dealing with airports during this time of year.

I barely made it out of Stockholm before the weather effected MOST of Europe! Staying put--cooking, driving nearby and wishing all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!. just keep my signature motto in mind...
"wherever you go, there you are"

Day trip to Philly. That's all. Relishing my memories of Costa Rica...what a great trip. Hopefully I will be able to write soon about Gaia and El Silencio. The trip exceeded our expectations.

Staying home - family coming down from Scranton to visit.
Also have a brief hospital procedure scheduled - tons of fun!
The good thing is that the University is closed the week between Christmas & New Years so get a bonus vacation

Stored my carry-on and giving my lap top some rest until after the first of the year...no more business travel and steering clear of airports.
No holiday travel for us, other than several short drives to see close friends and family.
Also, we have no medical procedures scheduled (good luck to those have done so).
Merry Christmas (we can still stay that, I think) and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to everyone in the community.
Our fingers are crossed for continued successes for Luxury Link and may they add many, many more interesting properties in exotic destinations, with low starting auction prices!- Ω -

12-22-2010, 02:59 PMJust finished the drive down to Key Largo and got my SUV unloaded. It is beautiful here. I'm not even sure I will leave the compound until Jan 2, 2011 when I have to vacate for my renters. Christmas will be at the club with a great deal of liquid intake.
Merry Christmas to all of you who are not in FL this time of year!

Hi Mountie,
We thought of taking a run down to Key West, or taking a short cruise to the Caribbean Islands, since Sarasota is quite cold at the moment, sunny but cold, but in the end we decided against it and we are staying put. We have some wonderful holiday programs right here in Sarasota, so why go elsewhere.
Merry Christmas to All!

bonniejoy03,
Count yourself lucky not going any where over the holidays. Most of the Northern airports and cities are snowed in and Europe is experiencing record cold and snowy times, with many airports closed and flights delayed. Here is to Happy Holidays warm and snug at Home, sweet home.Last edited by LL_Travelfan; 12-24-2010 at 05:42 PM.
