curt, since you have been here for a while and traveled on luxury link trips, do you recall ever seeing any Club Med trips offered? I have picked up some of their travel brochures at travel agencies and I have visited their web site. They seem to have some very nice locations around the world. Anyone ever been to a Club Med? Thank you.

In the past two months that I've beena psrt of the LL Community, I can't say that I recall seeing a Club Med property offered. Since the LL Moderators keep an eye on these posts, that situation may change, especially if a number of other contributors join in on this issue.

mountie....we've visitedseveral Club Meds in the Caribbean, Mexico andSpain, as well asthe one here in Florida, andhave enjoyed our stays each time. Club Med must have something close to 100 locations around the world, many of which are in exotic destinations. However, in our opinion, the Club Med experience is substantially different from the properties and experiencesbeing offered here at LL. If you are content with large crowds, buffet dining (and the food is generally several cuts above average---the French do fuss about their food) andtable wine, which seems to be in abundance at lunch and dinner, as well as nightly organized entertainment, then a Club Med experience may work for you.Mountie wrote:

For us, the draw to LL, is the opportunity to visit unique destination and for the most part, much more exclusive properties, at a substantially lower cost than purchasing at rack.
The real question in the thread is "where" would you like to go? What country or city or experience (safari, luxury train trip, luxury cruise). Share that with us. Maybe other community members have been there or maybe a Moderator will pass the suggestion along to management at LL.

curtiejoe and omegaet, I was looking at the Club Med locations in Mexico. There are several clubs there and the prices seem reasonable and it is easy for me to fly to Mexico without making too many connections. I hate those connections, since it seems like my luggage gets delayed. I try to travel with only one carry-on bag, however, that gets to be a problem when I plan to be away on holiday for a week or more. Anyway, I like the idea of going to Mexico. Unfortunately, some of the Mexico auction locations here on luxury link are at the higer priced resorts. Have any ideas? Thank you.

New auction sites based on property groups that are represented on LL, and thus are known as top-notch, would be great. For example, the Orient Express properties are wonderful. I have stayed at the Windsor Court in New Orleans and the Villa San Michele just outside of Florence...fabulous sites, food and surroundings all over the world. Also, the Rock Resorts have wonderful memories for us, at Rosarios Resort on Orcas Island, Snake River Lodge in Jackson Hole, and La Posada in Santa Fe. Both of these property groups have been represented on LL, and I would love to see more of the properties in the future since LL and we Community memebers know the quality of the group is up to LL's high standards. Cheers...Marolyn

Re: New Auction Locations - Nova Scotia
Hi, Curtiejoe. My husband and I are interested in going to Nova Scotia. As you mentioned, there is nothing on LL for that area. Have you been to Nova Scotia? If so, could you please give me some advice? What is interesting about this area - how is the biking there? Also, where did you stay and visit, etc? I really wish I had a package from LL to purchase for this area, I try to book several nights
through LL as I know I am getng a geat deal and the location is usually great.
Any suggestions wold be greatly appreciated. We are thinking of going sometime in July, as it gets hot everywhere else then.
Thanks for any input.

I hope that apart from Orient Express, the Great Train Journeys in Australia can also be added. The train journey also includes some excursions, which can be auctioned off together as a package.

Just reading through some of these posts and noticed your post on enjoying trips to Mexico. Have you noticed the Red Hot Action today for Mexico? Looks like a really nice package at a great starting price.
