I didn't spend much time in MSP this past January but it is a nice airport. I'm partial to the tunnel at DTW---it's just so soothing!

As for international airports: Seoul Incheon is wonderful!! We may have to connect thru on our way back from Bali, and it will be a pleasure! The Korean Air Lounges are the best I've even seen--incredible food, service and facilities. Planeside areas are easy to navigate because despite so many people, it never seems crowded.Last edited by kyshel; 05-02-2012 at 06:11 AM.

05-02-2012, 07:59 AMI use MCO frequently. It is 'pleasure' compared to many of the other airports I use. It's almosy like s budget visit to a Disney property.

Nice to see that Philadelphia made a travel list - I agree our airport is pretty bad!
I kind of like the airports in Latin American countries or at least the way some of them used to be - I used to love the airport in Guatemala City - kind of an indoor/outdoor arrangement with bunches of little interesting shops. They have since rebuilt it and now it is like a generic airport in the states ;-(
I don't usually spend much time wandering around in airports looking to see what they have - if I travel in 1st/business class, I usually go to the lounge if time permits, otherwise, we hang around outside after stopping in the duty free shop.Roam if you want to, roam around the world...........

I'm suspect of these rankings.
I probably use MIA more than anyone else in The Lounge.
Most people passing through MIA need at least a fair grasp of Spanish (or Spanglish) or Creole to get through the hoops and across the hurdles to their flights.
I can't see the airport getting a #1 ranking, however I must admit the recently completed North Terminal, which is home for American Airlines in Miami, is a top of the line facility....but then, who knows how all of that is going to work out with them being in bankruptcy.
Fun list to look at, even if I don't agree with it.- Ω -

05-03-2012, 06:14 AMOh, I almost forget. I know why I also like Charlotte (CLT). I love the rocking chairs and the smell of fried foods and Bar-B-Que wafting throughout the main terminal. I just hate flying USAir.

05-08-2012, 11:03 AMI would have had Denver as number one best. I can't believe Vegas and MIA are in there. Not in my list of favorites. I think Dulles is my number one worst!

I like the Munich airport which is fairly new and easy to get around it. Munich airport still hands out free newspapers (local and international), free coffee and even have free showers available if you feel you need to shower after a long flight and want to be fresh for a meeting. In the US I like our small TPA airport. I absolutely hate London Heathrow.
