Thread Expirations
How do you feel about "Expiration Time Frames" for "Inactive" threads? How long should a thread remain onactive status, if there is no activity? Is there is value to first time LL visitors to have access to "historic" threads? Even though our "Dashboards" will notify us when there is activity, are we really going back and participating on some of the older threads after we have "vented" and "rebutted" a topic, etc., etc.? Just wondering!

Re: Thread Expirations
Hey O,
Good point, maybe if some of the really active or "hot topic" threads stay up for the longest amount of times wit,h as you said the ones, that get very few responses get taken down (after 7 days) would be efficient. Otherwise as the community grows this will become quite a problem.

7....or maybe they get moved to "Archives" and held for a specified period before being dropped. I spend a lot of time doing my work on-line....so I generally keep the LL window open and check it frequently. That is possibly not the case with a huge number of the LL visitors.....so maybe a little time is need. However, as the Community grows, sorting through hundreds of old threads with become ponderous.
