TRAVEL MAGAZINES
Are there any particular travel magazines that you fellow Luxury Link community members read? I personally like Conde Nast Traveler and Islands. How about you? What travel magazines do you read and recommend?

I like Conde Nast Traveler, National Geographic Traveller, and Travel and Leisure. Also, check out the Wall Street Journal's editions towards the end of the week (Thursday/Friday.) They have a travel update section. I actually receive some great travel tips from the WSJ!!!

Its not a travel magazine, but I find that Architectural Digest sometimes has some fantastic suggestions for off-beat, exciting destinations or hotels. Also, depending on your personal preferences, Wallpaper usually has interesting suggestions-their city guides are interesting-I've used the city guides twice now and for me the jury is still out on how much I like them.

Re: TRAVEL MAGAZINES
hi thepiranha,
I used to get Conde Naste, but I subscribing because it seems that in the past several years, most months were mainly about some sort of GOLD rating rather than actual travel stories. I got tired of seeing them list off the top 100 something or other. However, I do miss reading the Ombudsman column... I loved reading about other peoples trial and tribulations and hoping like heck that the same thing wouldn't occur to me while I was traveling.
Now I read most of my travel info in assorted magazines found at the spas, doctor offices, and on line. I do get National Geographic and enjoy reading that .

Altho it's a relatively "thin" magazine, Sherman's Travel is kinda fun and subs are cheap.
I really enjoy Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel Magazine--always chock-full of destination info!"wherever you go, there you are"

My 2 favorite travel magazines are Budget Travel and National Geographic Traveller and I particularly look forward to the photography contest winners in NGT. I also like the regional city magazines for places I regularly go to (Tampa and DC) for restaurant recommendations.
