Well....I just enjoyed my first full body search at San Jose CR and my first full body scan at JFK in New York with no Holiday songs, etc. ......what an experience!! And.....no presents for going through the ordeal...they didn't even return my suitcases to me...YES THEY ARE LOST!!! (of course with all the Costa Rican Coffee).

Oh No! We'll keep our fingers & paws crossed here for a speedy return of your luggage and coffee.

We just ordered some Hawaiian Kona coffee from a small producer we met on the Big Island - they charge only the $10 USPS express shipping, and have figured out how to cram quite a bit into a box. We mix it about 50/50 with 8 O'Clock, so it lasts longer. The relatives supposedly all have their mugs clean and extended for this coming week-end!

Hope the rest of the trip was more enjoyable than the TSA portion.

bonniejoy03, how you possible make the mistake of packing your coffee in checked baggage, especially passing through JFK.

Oh well, maybe you will get your baggage returned, but probably someone else will be enjoying that wonderful coffee for Christmas!

Sorry to hear about the luggage loss BJ - I have never had that happen and hopefully never will! What airline did you fly on?

Flew AA....Called us at 11pm on Monday to tell us the suitcase would be delivered to our door on Tuesday between 4am and 6am!! GREAT!!! Poor pup needed her beauty sleep and was recovering from eating the wall and her plastic mat. (yes, she was in the hospital while we were in CR!) Well, suitcase never showed up and no call....it finally arrived COMPLETELY INTACT Tuesday evening!! Coffee, wine, and stinky clothes! WEO......AA was very very nice in handling the situation.

Experienced my first groping at Washington Dulles airport in early November when we were coming back from Germany. I did a double take but shrugged it off. Only realized this was new US TSA procedure when I saw all the hoopla on TV and in the media. I wonder what will be next? Cavity Searches????
