Very Cool Travel Bags
I met a woman this week who designs very versatile bags--I kept looking at a red backpack she had. When I asked about it, she showed me how it converts to a very generous duffle bag. Supercool! Not that I NEED another bag but I'm already tracking down a store nearby. I think this will be my new daypack--I can do food and wine and still have my personal stuff in the regular pockets.
This is my fave:
Beyond A Bag - Our Products
They have an attractive tote bag and a pet carrier! Clever stuff and the quality is great.Last edited by kyshel; 08-09-2012 at 09:03 AM.

Nice, useful bags but no prices listed on their site. Any idea what these cost or where to get the information?

08-09-2012, 02:20 PMThere is a store locator tab. I found several in my suburbs. I plan to look tomorrow at the local hospital gift shop (of all places! Been in that bldg plenty of times!)
She'll be on QVC on Aug 13, 12pm EST. I think retail is around $40. beyondabag is on facebook, too.
I was so impressed with the quality (I used to sell handbags). My problem will be what color..."wherever you go, there you are"

I will have to look them up - $40 is a decent price for a good quality bag

08-13-2012, 04:50 AMThose are cool, and cute too! I'm surprised they don't sell them online. If anyone decides to try one out let me know how it is. I'm worried there may not be much room inside when it is collapsed into the backback version.

What I saw was the outside/end pockets hold basic items--typical handbag items--billfold, glasses, phone, tickets, map, comb, some cosmetics, small camera and the extension collapses into a very small space between. I could use it for a city pack and still take hubby's glasses etc. The fabric is like a quality umbrella so it's light but strong. The tote bag extension just zipped into a channel--you just sorta stuff it in and zip.
I'll be watching QVC today--it's one of the small items.
They are only sold by Ganz gift company reps or on QVC so far. If she could sell them online, she would!
I just saw the handbag/duffle. It had a lot more room in pockets/compartments than I imagined. one holds stuff plus 16 oz water and another holds ziploc TSA toiletries and more.
No idea how much at retail store. QVC is F-09752 for $34. I'll be at the hospital on Wed, so I'll see what they sell the bags for there. I just bought a travel handbag, but I want the backpack!Last edited by kyshel; 08-13-2012 at 09:29 AM.

08-14-2012, 02:25 AMTrue, some think it is too expensive. but often these quality bags last forever...I think it is worth investing some more money in order to find something that is nice and good.
BTW: It's the same with other luxury items, just bought a Cartier Roadster watch last month - OMG so fabulous. Can really recommend it.Last edited by mitchy; 08-17-2012 at 06:11 AM.
