02-05-2012, 11:07 AMA very odd question
I know this is a question a lot of people don't deal with. But there are a few of us, well, for us things like this are difficult. I sent an e-mail to the concreige but no one ever replied to me. Maybe you guys can help. What happens when only ONE person is taking a trip? How does that work for me? As far as prices and accomendations? Is there another site, like this one, that is better suited for me? Or can I just pay for the trip and go by myself. But will that change everything. I know for single people, it is more expensive for anything. But I'm fine with that. And, yes, I have looked and asked people if they wanted to go. No one does

02-05-2012, 12:52 PMI've used one of my auctions for an add on to a business trip/conference. Yes, I did pay the full price, but I used all of the extras that were included with the LL auction. Don't let anyone at the front desk say you're not entitled to the extras for both people! It was nice to destress and take some time for myself after my conference. Unfortunately, I don't know of any auction site that caters to single travelers--it would be a good idea for some entrepreneur, though!

You should not have any problems going by yourself - I found that the auctions I have won and used with my husband were actually the price for 1 person - so the prices on this site for some trips are very good deals - 2 for the price of one! I also contact the hotel or trip directly to ask for any special considerations, etc.

We've done just about the opposite. My first mystery auction was for 4 persons, 2 BR villa in Thailand. We went as one couple and got the dinners split for 2 nts instead of one AND they swapped the extra breakfasts (which I love, but never willing to eat 2!) for transport to town each day. The French chef there made the MOST amazingly Michelin type cuisine so we scored big time!! Just ask. Have a GREAT TIME!!

02-07-2012, 03:47 PMThis is a good question.
Hi Princina,
We are glad to help. If you are looking at our all-inclusive packages, then we would encourage you to compare our price to single occupancy rates on the property's website. In addition, we have a number of hotel packages with double occupancy rates well below the prices you will find elsewhere -regardless of occupancy.
I am sorry to read that you did not get a reply to your email. We searched out email system, but we were not able to find any emails coming from the email address associated with your account. Please feel free to call us at 888.297.3299.
Thank you for your question.
