Villas rented directly from owners?

Great information. I will save these websites to my favorites. So far I find LL easier to navigate. It's hard going directly to the owners when you are unsure of exactly where you want to go. Maybe when I become a more seasoned traveler it will work better for me.

i think it is better to rent villas directly from the owner since they can give you a lower price for the same accommodation. like what I experienced with St. Barth's villa, I talked to the owner and rented a villa. i was able to get a discount for it.
