VIP contributor status results?

Hi everyone,



I was expecting to see who had made the coveted 'VIP Contributor' status as it says on the site that the awards are made on a quarterly basis (i.e. 31 December)?



I can't see anyone who has been upgraded to this status yet, does anyone have any ideas about when this will take place??

maybe those who select the V.I.P's are still on their Xmas and New Year break. Most people don't return to work until tomorrow so maybe they will cheese them then? Who knows!!

In addition to the results, I think we are all eagerly awaiting to see the roll out of the new LL Community ! Maybe some of our threads have made it to the powers that be and we will all be pleasantly surprised to see our suggestions put to work !

Yes, I think there may be a few changes, hopefully for the better and they have taken on board all our suggestions and comments. Most of the suggestions put forward have been very good andI think that if they do seriously consider them then that is all we can ask for. I think theyprobably appreciate all our input and hopefully they agree that our contributions are going to help improve things. Although

Ido think they have made a very good job of things already.

I believe the announcement of VIP status, etc. will be made on or after the 3rd. I noticed in the section "Enter to win a free trip" when you click on who was the winner for Dec. 31 - there is an announcement that the winner for the 4th quarter will be announced on the 3rd of Jan. This has me believe that the VIP announc ements will also be made on or around this date.... patience is a virture....

That announcement for the "Choose Your Pleasure" contest you refer to doesn[t seem to have anything to do with the announcement of the 4th quarter VIP participants' names.

However, I hope you're right that there may be a correlation between the end of the contest for the free trip (i.e. the end of the 4th quarter of 2006) and the administrative process timing for LL Community Admin. staff to review the status of all its current contributors and the date for announcing the coveted VIP participants.

Looks to me like the good folks at LL Community Admin. have been totally swamped by the volume of posts now on the site.



Since I signed up on Dec. 15 last year, I've seen the number of messages skyrocket in number. As such, I've found it more difficult each passing day to have the time (especially around Christmas) to review, read, rate and answer those posts that interest me. I can imagine how hard it's for the LL staff (and who knows how many there are assigned to the Community) to go through each and every one of the messages on all of the boards. I suspect that's why I and others have noticed that very few of our recent posts that make suggestions for changes/additions/improvements have been answered. The situation was quite different around mid December when every post of mine of this sort received a prompt reply frpm LL Admin.



Patience is a virtue...and time will reveal all.

Hi C,
You are not the only one holding your breath.... You are, of course, correct that the announcement of the winner for the free trip has nothing to do with the announcement of the VIP Status announcement. However, I deducted from the trip winner announcement, that since LL wasn't going to do anything before Feb. 3rd 5:00 PST for that announcement, we weren't going to hear about the VIP Status announcement before that time frame. Of course, they may take longer to announce the VIP status selection seen that they have to wade through all our scribbles.....

In your post to mary-j you said earlier in Dec. the LL Moderators answered your tips and suggestions on a regular basis? How did they answer you? In a private message, because I certainly haven't seen any posts from LL Moderators for quite some time. I received one private message from an LL Moderator, but then I had addressed a private message to that moderator..... I am sure, between the posts containing new suggestions to LL and the holidays, all that has contributed to the fact that answers from LL Moderators were sparse. I too have had difficulties catching all the replies to my posts and catching up with the new posts.... As the number of new Contributors increase on this Community Board it will get more and more difficult and time consuming to catch up with all the posts... Plus our own travel schedules will kick in.... But then, perhaps there will be fewer time consuming posts on LL Tips and Questions and more posts on the actual properties... I sure am curious what the new format will look like and how many of our suggestions LL will actually incorporate....
