Re: VIP contributor status results?
Just changing the subject a little, but when we get our $500 vouchers I wonder what conditions will apply? Do you think there will be any restrictions e.g. expiry dates. I hope there won't be a "use by date" on them. If they were valid for 12 months then that would be fine. I wonder if this will be something they will continue to do(giving $500 to the best contributors) or do you think it is just because it is new and they want to get as many contributors as possible. Would we be able to keep all our $500 vouchers and use them together? I know this will probably be very unlikely but they could have a condition that we could use them together as long as theprice we paid for the package was over a certain amount e.g $5000?

Top of the mornin'to you mary-jGood to have a bit of a change of topic.I too have been wondering about the $500 travel certificate and what conditions, if any, LL will place on its use. I understand the vouchers are being mailed out as we speak to all VIP Contributors. I'm sure we'll soon know the situation.Sure looks like LL intends to reward the top 10% of contributors at the end of each quarter. A question that pops into my mind is: over the next three months do ALL contributors start from scratch (as we did in the quarter that just ended) or will what was done up to the end of 2006 carry over and be used for the cumulative tally at the end of March this year? Your guess is as good as mine.curtiejoe

Re: VIP contributor status results?
Very good questions! I hadn't thought about an expiration on the voucher. I had another one for $100, as a bonus for previewing and providing feedback on this site when it was new - were any of you involved in that? That one had no expiration, so I was hoping this would be the same. Also a good question about whether we all start from scratch or build upon our previoushistory.

Re: VIP contributor status results?
disneygal....I also received one of the $100 bonus vouchers....there was no expiration date. I doubt there will be an expiration date on the $500 voucher....after all, most of auction prices seems to be creeping upward (at least when I compare the prices I paid in prior years for the same LLpackages today), so the longer we wait to use the vouchers, the less buying power they will have.disneygal wrote:

hi dg
Wasn't involved in the preview/feedback programof the LL site when it first started up. But, I'm in the thick of it now, as are you and several other VIP Contributors. Am hoping that the $500 certificates will come with few restrictions, so that we can use them flexibly towardsour future LL travel plans. It'll be interesting to hear what others feel.curtiejoe

Re: VIP contributor status results?
Hi Curtie Joe...I'm Back! We had a wonderful time at Morgans Rock and in Northern Costa Rica. THanks for the Liberia airport information. Unfortunately, we had some serious issues. Best news is that we are home! (without luggage though!) The airport staff (Delta and customs) went way beyond the call of duty for us. A big thank you to them. It really goes to show how special the Costa Rican people are. The airport is kind of cool.We had great weather but mucho viento (windy!) This is common this time of year however, January should have had less winds.

Re: VIP contributor status results?
hi VIP bonneyjoyGreat to have you back from Nicaragua and Costa Rica! It'd be great to hear all about your stay at Morgans Rock, one of your favorites, I believe. Also, feel really bad that you don't have your luggage yet from Costa Rica. Hopefully, Delta will put things right for you soon.I'm thrilled to hear you speak so highly of the Costa Rican people. We too found most of them very friendly and accomodating, especially the tour guides that we enjoyed discovering some of the natural treasures of their amazing country. I guess it was a good Costa Rican wind that brought you back home safely! Please share your experiences in 'Tico country with all on the LL Community, once you've had a chance to catch your breath.curtiejoe

Re: VIP contributor status results?
Hi O,
I received several of the $150 vouchers for the recent 2006 Italy promotion. They all have an expiration date of June 2007 on it. Better look again at your voucher and check the fine print. LL can be tricky on these vouchers. For instance on the announcement for the recent 2006 Italy promotion, LL only stated that "Restrictions Apply", it did not spell out that the vouchers could only be used on LL purchases in 2007 and had to be used by June of 2007. This was only found in the fine print on the vouchers itself.
