What About This Annual List?
We
always look forward to this list each year (not that weagree with all of their past or current selections)....but #3 looks good (OK, we're alreadybooked in there in April) and #28, where we enjoyed a fabulous stay late lastyear, is certainly a great travel bargain (thought we had posted a blog on this one).

I see #3, Morgan's Rock, made the list. We stayed twice and loved the place! Might be getting a little too built up though...Nice to see DC on the list. LL has had some nice properties there.

I have several of these under my belt. Returns to Rio and Bangkok are in the works. Yucatan may be sooner than I expected--like in 2 wks. I don't think we'll be wandering around pyramids, tho--this will be a "pampering".
That's a great picture at Steenberg Hotel, Constantia. Wish they'd shown the guinea fowl in the vineyards (the view from many rooms). Beautiful property!
I'll likely be in Manila but not anywhere quite as special is their list mentions. Maybe Koh Pangan is in order to add to BKK? My husband has been to Accra many times. He said it's quite clean for large African cities.I'd be interested in checking it out if they have more air connections to places we want to visit."wherever you go, there you are"

I'm surprised Marseille was placed so high on the list. In August most of the museums we were interested in were closed for renovation, the Vieux Port area was dug up, and there was trash everywhere. We also found it too be unsafe. An individual followed us for over 10 minutes staring at our camera. I stopped and turned around abruptly and he finally gave up. After returning home I read plenty of reviews regarding mugging and robbers riding mopeds.
All in all, when they are done with all the construction and work on the safety issues, Marseille will become a must see destination. Not quite there in my book.Ain't nothing gonna break my stride...
