Oh my.....the coordination efforts of the Luxury Link Concierge Team served us well for our ambitious Portugal itinerary! Not a hitch nor a bump and many greatly appreciated and unexpected 'extras' popped up at every turn.

Even the non-Luxury Link properties excelled.

Portugal's National economic conditions aside, the Portuguese people proved to be wonderful hosts and almost as passionate about everyday life as their love for their respective football teams.

We will do some blogging in days to come....

p.s.....the question and answer of how long the purple color lasts on your feet will be discussed in details in a later blog!

-O-, disappointed in your abilities to construct a poll. Usually, you do a better job, allowing for a wider range of polling data (possibly your other job is construction political polls with the objectives determined in advance).

For unknown reasons, my travels to date have not taken me into Portugal (not even a stop over in Lisbon).

On the other hand, I have tasted several very fine Port wines at various functions over the years.

I will await your future blogs entries, since I am certain you have managed to do some interesting activities during your journey.

bonniejoy03...we actually had considered Palacio do Freixo Hotel in Oporto | Pousada do Porto, Palácio do Freixo in Porto, however, the location would have added more daily travel time to an already busy schedule.....so, we opted for a more centralized property.

Expensive?

Well, you still have to look at the $ vs. €. We had made a currency futures decision earlier in the year, so we were ahead of the game.

Dining, drinking, local travel and incidentals offered many, many options. All in all, considering the pre-purchase and payment of the Luxury Link packages in $; the remaining expenses were largely discretionary, so we felt the time in Portugal afforded us great value for money.

We could have spent more and we could have spent less (we did return home with unspent Euros ready to seed a future trip).
