Re: What is the best deal you have gotten on LuxuryLink?
I think most of us would enjoy the dutch auctions - there's always a chance you'll pay a little less than your highest bid! Probably a reason they aren't offered quite as much....it seems a little bit backward for the retailer. From a consumer point a view, I say, bring them on!

HI All,
the best deal we got on LL was to a place in Germany http://www.fuerstenhof-celle.com/ Fuerstenhof Celle Hotel located in Celle Germany. The deal on LL was for 5 nights in a 2 room suite, 3 dinners, breakfast of course, 2 rounds of Golf, an English speaking tour guide for tour of city. and a tour of the country side and lunch. Well we wanted to go over New Years so they traded the 2 rounds of golf for 2 more dinners including the New Years Eve gala (11 course meal). The price was fabulous, we paid a little more than they now charge for a deluxe for one nite with no meals...............what a steal. The New Years dinner and the Ducal Duck dinner where at Endtenfang (1 Michelin star) restaurant, one of best meals ever had. The town is very nice, not destroyed at all during WWII and houses the famous Hanover Stud farm. We were able to tour the Stud and see the horses in their stables and being trained. Never came back again. It is a trip we will never forget. One of the most enjoyable parts of trip was that we were the only non speaking germans to be there, but they all went out of thier way to make us feel very much at home and practise some english with us and we some awful german with them.

Re: What is the best deal you have gotten on LuxuryLink?
Hotel Hoffmeister package (Prague) 4 nights for less than $700
Bfast w/unlimited sparkling wine--buffet and cooked-to-order meal
One 6 course meal @ Ada Restaurant--hand-blown glass plates, wines, excellent service (tipped well, of course) check total was about $250 US equivalent
Spa steam treatment (we paid exta for massage to add) was wonderful--had to entire "cellar" to ourselves.
Paid extra for upgrade from reg suite to multi-floor honeymoon suite--worth every penny of $200 total )
All taxes included. It was pure luxury all the way. Paid small fee for private airport p/u limo service. Highly recommend this deal.
Another deal I saw which is excellent total package and we are plannig to use is 8 night pkg @ Kupu Kupu Barong in Bali. So many inclusions."wherever you go, there you are"

The only bid we have done on LL was for a 5 night package at El Careyes resort (www.elcareyesresort.com) on the Pacific coast of Mexico. It was slightly over half price, but included breakfasts and spa treatments.
We saved about $1500. It was great!

Kind of interesting looking at some of these older threads and seeing auction packages that have come and gone. How about some updates on the best deals you have gotten recently or ever on Luxury Link!

Every one of our mystery auctions have been superb buys--particularly the exotic ones like Africa and Asia.

I have had quite a few great deals via LL packages - a few years ago we did an Orient Express package to Lima, Cuzco & Mac Pic which was excellent and back in 2006 or 2007 we had a wonderful deal to Blancaneaux Lodge in Belize - I wish this would come back. We just did 3 really good packages to Mexico - combined 3 LL packages together (Puebla, Mexico City & P Vallarta).
I do agree with O and others that when a property 1st comes on LL the deals are better and I have also noticed that when the economy is not so great (like the past year) the deals are good

We have had some wonderful deals with LL. The early Bellevue auctions in Cogne, Italy come mind, 4 nights with breakfast, 1 dinner and Spa entrance for $475, the Hotel Raphael in Rome, 5 nights of a Roman Holiday package with breakfast and one dinner for $999, The Hotel Regina in Paris which we booked for friends, 5 nights with breakfast, 1 dinner and Louvre tickets for $999. The Grand Continental Hotel in Sienna, Italy for 3 nights with breakfast, 1 superb dinner and afternoon wine and cookies for $785. The Schloss Hotel Bensburg in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, for 3 nights with breakfasts and 1 dinner by a 3*Michelin Chef, and fantastic Spa for $675. Castle Fragsburg in Meran, 3 nights with breakfast and dinner every evening by a 2* Michelin Chef, and a spa treatment for $675. Even the Mon Hotel in Paris, with breakfasts plus $100 dinner or Spa credit for $560 was a steal. There are too many great places we stayed to mention. We have had so many great deals with LL that we keep coming back for more....
It is true, however, that the hotels we discovered with LL at rock bottom prices have gone up considerably if they stayed with LL at all.
We truly would like to see more LL properties to be added to the European sector.
LL - Thank you for all the great deals you have given us.
Kind Regards

We too enjoyed a couple of 4 night Hoffmeister, Prague, packages for under $700. The 6-course dinner at the Ada Restaurant was superb and the service excellent. We repeated the 6-course dinner the last night at our own expense and asked the chef to be creative with the menu. The meal was wonderful and the chef did not dissapoint. However, when we got the bill, we knew we had gotten a real deal with the LL package 6-course dinner being included.
