What Happend To Everyone?

It seems to me that the number of visitors to this community has declined since I arrived recently. I hope the drop in postings is not because of my questions. I have noticed that some of the members have been posting some harsh remarks about others. What is causing this type of conduct? I hope luxury link does not shut down this community, I have learned a lot by reading the postings. Thank you.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with your questions - as I tell my medical students, the only dumb question is the one which never gets asked! I can't speak for everyone else, but I've just been snowed under at work recently. Hopefully things will ease up and I'll be able to spend more time with the LL community.

Your questions are fine. As jashermd says the only dumb question is the one which never gets asked! The community has grown quite a bit and it is becoming quite a task to wade through all the posts, it requires more and more time. I just got back from a week of skiing in Val Thorens, France, and I don't know where to begin to get back into the game... but I'll try to keep up with the LL community.

Mountie, don't worry about your posts, as the others say, there are no problems with any ofthem. I have been finding the forum a bit quieter lately but this happens from time to time and usually has nothing to do with the members but just as Jashermd says, people are busy with work etc, just like myself. Hopefully it will pick up soon. so keep posting Mountie!! Cheers.

No Worries!!! This site is bound to ebb and flow since we obviously all travel extensively. LH Your ski trip sounded WONDERFUL I would enjoy hearing more about it. We also love to ski The past two - three weeks we have been in Tuscon Arizona at the Gem and Mineral show - among other things Great time - unusual minerals from around the world. This gem show is the worlds largest with many countries in attendance. I know Bonney joy and I believe MaryJ are also "rock hunters" Anyone that loves beautiful things or genuine fossil/mineral enthusiasts would have a heyday at this show. perhaps LL will make Tuscon specials next year - It is difficult to find room availability due to the size of the show - 40+ locations including the convention center - hotels - temporary buildings and tents WOWIt is a nice show Take Care and Happytravels ...Funtimes

Hi Funtimes. Thanks for thinking of us. We would have loved the gem show. We are headed to Phoenix in 5 weeks. I imagine the show will be over?I like the idea of the fossils in the rocks. We bought something like this in Morocco. It is supposed to be a fossilized fish in a rock. Its kind of funky. Welcome back. Wish I was there. We have had bitter cold on the East Coast. Driving has been referred to as driving through the wild west. The roads are so bumpy.

Don't worry I think that this is a typical ebb and flow of a message board, nothing to do with your joining in. Like many others, I came on here fresh and new and immediately had a lot to say in response to some of the older messages, trying to catch up to the recent posts. That was time consuming! I had to take a little breather! I'm back checking in regularly but as there haven't been too many new questions or posts about locations I've been or am planning on going anytime soon, I'm kind of just lurking a bit more. I still love reading everyone's reviews (especially liking the VIP blog) so please keep it up everyone!

hi everyone Thanks for your concern - I guess you're right 22go We are web friends one and all - sometimes I think we are web "fiends" as much as we log on to LL. The gem and mineral show is truly incredible - pleased to have such a pleasant diversion - we really go to AZ so frequently to care for my ailing mom so thanks again all the LL travel posts really take us away to happy travel times and the wonder of adventure. For myself, I have been inundated with a lot of work. However I continue to read all the great questions, posts, reviews and opinions from the LL Community. As for the negativity that has been out there, I've only seen a few posts of that nature, and that will unfortunately happen on any blog.



I'd imagine that everyone out here has been planning and starting their new travels for the year and I'm personally looking forward to reading about it all and discussing !
