We had lunch and a nice conversation one afternoon next to a table with two ladies traveling in Portugal together and they had left their husbands at home to play with their EA Madden NFL on Xbox 360.
p.s....I supposed the ladies were in their early fifties and were sick and tired of listening to their hubands live out their NFL fantasies.....they appeared to be having a fabulous time.
I can relate! My husband's sister-in-law was my travel buddy for years, as she too was married to a guy who didn't like to travel. So every year she and I would do a 2 week international trip and maybe a few other shorter ones. We always had a fabulous time. In fact, we did a trip to Portugal one year. But, she got divorced and has a new boyfriend, so........no more travel buddy.
Just added another LL package for 2013 - all booked up (for now) for a total of 4 LL packages for 2013 - March - Aqua Wellness package and Jicaro Island, Nicaragua - combined both of these for 1 long trip, May - Liasion Hotel in Wash DC, Cotton Tree Lodge, Belize for December 2013.
If $ and vacation days allow may be able to fit another short trip - wish there was more within driving/train distance of Philadelphia to do 2-3 night packages!
Glad you are trying the Liasion. We enjoyed our stay. We liked the location right at the Capitol. May will also be a great time to go. PS- If you like Thai food, we can recommend a quaint restaurant in the area. Have you looked at The Inn at Perry Cabin or the property at Rehobeth Beach? Either would be a nice driving trip from Philly.
I was going to do the Inn at Perry, however, since they started adding the stupid resort fee (based on actual value) this package has come off my list. The Rehobeth beach property is usually only up until April and maybe October/November - since we are already booked for March, May and early December none of those dates would work (maybe October)

BonnieJoy--several are pet friendly and one has great parking rates.
maybe LL should consider doing some wkend pkgs--even tho the secret is out now.
Thanks K. I agree with D about the Inn at Perry Cabin. I had been talking to them to get the exact type of fee (we would have this fee and the $100 pet fee.) We do love the property so will try to work something out. There is no use of the resort fee in January!!!
As to DC, there are so many pet friendly places. We appreciated the Liasion and their attitude towards pets (Kenzie could hang out with us at the lobby as we enjoyed drinks.) We also appreciate Baltimore for their pet friendly places. Looking at the Monaco Hotel (a Kepinski property. Never had stayed at one before.)
