What Percentage Was Luxury Link?
Looking back over 2012, roughly what percentage of your vacation/holiday/leisure stays consisted of Luxury Link packages?
Would you have booked additional packages if Luxury Link had offered more locations to your liking or possibly if prices/promotions had been more favorable?Last edited by omegaet; 12-27-2012 at 06:08 AM.

12-20-2012, 03:17 PMI enjoyed two LL packages, which was actually roughly 66% of my leisure travel this past year. Rising airfares have been a influencing factor in making leisure travel decisions this past year for certain. I have even a greater concern regarding the probability of even higher fares in 2013.
I am so thankful for the exceptional travel packages offered by LL. Without them, I would be sitting home watching the Travel Channel instead of living the adventures.

12-20-2012, 07:01 PMThis year about 50% on LL - hoping to find some great deals w/luxury properties for 2013. Airfares are making it difficult to travel abroad. I did get a Rome trip in while renting an apartment in Florence. Will try to string some European spots this spring or fall.

Our "vacation" stays are almost exclusively LL pkgs. I wish they had more South Africa deals, as wel as more South America...

Finishing up our end of year accounting, we noticed Luxury Link managed to fill all but eight of our leisure travel nights (three of those were directly related to LL trips and no package nights were available at needed locations).
Looking forward, we are wondering if we will be able to say the same about next year.
We have a strong fondness for travel in South America and the LL choices are becoming limited (most of us here in the community know combining Central America and South America as a travel section really reflects mostly Central America). It is true our first two trips of 2013 will be into Central America......but after that, we are sincerely searching for more choices in South America).
Soon we will again be making property suggestions to Luxury Link and sincerely hope the Sales Team can come through for us.- Ω -

This year for me has been like a child's first trip to a (travel) candy store... After discovering LL, I planned all my vacations around LL packages and I intend to do the same for many years to come! All the other places we stayed at were just ok, our LL vacations were experiences.
I would love to see more Eastern European properties added so that we can plan city breaks too!Ain't nothing gonna break my stride...

We are LL believers....
We started out in January/February 2012 with a week of skiing in Ehrwald, Austria but only because LL didn't have anything there in Southern Germany/Austria.
In April we spent 3 nights at Vero Beach, FL at the Estephan property with a LL package.
In June we were in Ischia, Italy, 4 nights at Alberogo Montana and 3 nights at Mezzatore, both LL packages, and a couple of nights in Naples, Italy.
In August we spent a week at Kandersteg, 3 nights in Leukerbad and 5 nights in Zermatt. We regretted that LL did not have any packages in Switzerland.
But in September we spent 3 nights at Regio Emilia (Worst LL package we have ever purchased, shame on LL to have that establishment on LL list). On the same trip we stayed 3 nights at the LL Grand Hotel Intercontinental in Sienna, and 5 nights at the Abano Therme in Abano/Padua, Italy, both nice properties.
On the way back to the States in October we spent 3 nights at the Ritz Hotel in Madrid. Fine LL property.
And we finished the year with 2 LL 2-night packages at the Marenas Resort and Spa in early December at Sunny Isles near Miami, where we had a fabulous time. Great resort.
That made it 9 Luxury Link Packages for us in 2012. In 2013 we are planning a similar number of packages 4 packages have already been purchased but no dates have been set yet but for 1, and I am planning on about 5 more packages per couple in South Africa for a family safari.
It would be nice if LL had some sort of discount/reward system for "Frequent Luxury Link Traveler". Maybe LL could pick up that idea!!!!

We would have most certainly booked more packages with Luxury Link if they would have been available. Our area of travel is Europe, (Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland). Unfortunately, LL is offering so few choices in these countries. I have written time and again for LL to include some of these countries, but to no avail. Perhaps now, that LL has a new Concierge, Oliver Deuble, who is German, might we see some action on more European properties.
