Wow, LLTF, I'm impressed! Nine LL packages in one year. Bravo! You're making me feel like small potatoes
. In September, my wife and I enjoyed two nights at Columbia Cliff Villas in Hood River, OR (nothing wrong with the property, but it wasn't up to Luxury Link's usual impeccable standards). October took us to Italy, where we stayed at LL packages around 75% of our three week trip. We initially liked Abano Terme, a spa resort, but there really wasn't anything Italian about the resort nor the town, and we quickly tired of the place. Although Hotel Parma in Reggio Emilia was not fancy, it was well located and we enjoyed our stay there. We really liked the fact that the city is not at all touristy. I don't feel nearly as strongly as LLTF about this property. Bagni di Pisa, also a spa resort, was very nice and was a far better all around experience than Abano Terme. Our final LL package on the trip was the Park Hotel Villa Grazioli in Grottaferrata, outside Rome. Very nice accommodations in a remote location about half an hour by train and shuttle from Rome.
Although I don't have any Luxury Link packages on the radar for the near future, my 2013 travels are taking me to the Galapagos Islands in May and then, hopefully, back to a different South American location later in the year. Like others on this site, I would be very happy if LL were to offer more packages in this part of the world.

I ended up cobbling together 10 Luxury Link nights in Peru early this year. The organization of the trip took a bit of coordination with Jim Sanchez and some extra consideration by the Orient-Express properties, but the end results were fabulous.
I too have a keen interest in more travels to South America. Chile continues to be of interest. Argentina, at least the properties currently offered by Luxury Link, hold no interest. I prefer more remote and less traveled destinations.
So, we'll see how 2013 comes together.
Luxury Link is still my first stop for luxury travel potential.

mountie....I don't know how much more remote you would prefer a destination to be than El Calafate or Bariloche, Argentina. Both areas would not be construed as main stream to most travelers....even experienced luxury travelers.
I would like to see more possibilities in Chile as well.- Ω -

We enjoyed Bariloche and would highly recommend it. Did not see a lot of tourists.. Great for hiking and enjoying the lake!!

Mountie--My 36yr old nephew is back in Chile, on a motorcycle he bought from a Peace Corps worker there. He's zipping around Patagonia and camping wherever he can (or hostels). I'm sure he'll have some recommendations to cobble with some "remote" LL offerings. I'll send you a link to his site if you'd like. Could be a very interesting trip to combine styles.
I, too, would like to see more offers in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.Brazil this spring would be great, sicne we're going to Iguacu."wherever you go, there you are"

Remote Enough?
How about this, mountie? Can't get too much more remote:
Quark Expeditions - Cruise Deals | Luxury Link
Great addition - wish we had the 7 day travel date open in February for the fly over.- Ω -

the most LL packages I did in one year was 4 (2012).
Would do more if we had more vacation time and if the airfares to some of our desired locations was not a killer!Roam if you want to, roam around the world...........

In 2012, we did 3 LL packages - Casa Palopo in Guatemala, Teton Village in WY and the Montana Sky Lodge. I would do quite a few more in the future, if I could talk my husband into more travel. Or I may start to do some on my own!
Life is too short.........travel now!
