What is your dream vacation?

What is your dream vacation?
My hubby said to me the other night "time to start thinking about where you want to go for your dream vacation"
The only problem is I have so many "dream vacation" ideas, I can't decide where it would be - Egypt & Jordan, African safari, Galapagos, Vietnam & Cambodia.......
Maybe if others post their "dream trips" I could get some ideas ;-)

My latest dream vacation is backpacking through Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia, with two or three Luxury Link hotels interspersed along the way. The trip would include hiking the Inca Trail, going to the Galapagos Islands and visiting the salt flats in Bolivia. A close second would be an African safari and third would be a trip to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

Wow-that's a toughie!!
I'm thinking luxury train--OE--SE Asia, along with Siem Reap, Luang Prabang, Mekong River Cruise. Add segment from Singapore to Thailand
Luxury train, South Africa, safari and side trip to Vic Falls.
So MANY places..."wherever you go, there you are"

01-11-2012, 02:08 PM[email protected]....good question. "Dream Trips" are moving targets for us....there's always an active list of possibilities and we're influenced by different opportunities...such as interesting offerings here on Luxury Link and frequent flier programs on certain air carriers.
South and Central American destinations continue to be at the top of our list.
We love Patagonia and would jump at almost any unusual situation (we still marvel at the LL package we purchased a couple of years back at The Cliffs in Chile). There a few of these situations currently offered in Argentina, but we just returned from there and probably will not go again this year.
Guess that is the reason we visit the Luxury Link web site daily - just to see what might pop up!- Ω -

Seconds to "visiting LL web site daily!" Love seeing the new properties listed and trying to see how they can fit into my schedule!! I agree with you about The Cliffs. I also LOVED Awasi. Saw it again and really wanted to consider going again!

Dollar For Dollar
bonniejoy03...I think you bought the first package offered at The Cliffs here on Luxury and I think we bought the second package offered.
Dollar for dollar, that package has to be the greatest value we every scored with Luxury Link and we have been fortunate enough to get some good deals.
Unfortunately, for many of those who bought after us, the pricing structure quickly escalated.- Ω -

If $ were no object then we could go on multiple dream vacations. So many places to choose and it will probably come down to having to decide totally based on cost. I have to admit though, that we have seen quite a few places that were on our bucket list - Tikal, Machu Pichu and just about any of the ruin sites in Latin America and we have done a short trip into the Amazon- if we base it totally on archaeology wishes, then an Egypt/Jordan package or Angor Wat in Cambodia would be on top. If we base it on nature wishes, then African safari or Galapagos would be on top. And any of these would fulfill cultural/anthropological wishes.

01-12-2012, 05:02 PMkyshel's South Africa dream trip mirrors mine. I have always wanted to visit Cape Town, do a safari, maybe ride the Blue train? And somehow make it to Victoria Falls. I am a sucker for a trip to big waterfalls.

Hi N....just be careful if you add bungee jumping on your dream trip to Victoria Falls.

We also have South Africa and a safari on our list for next year with family and friends. However, to make it a true Dream Vacation, a lot of research and homework will still have to be done. I am working on it...
