I have to go with the panhandle and P'cola . I went to college in Melbourne, Stewart and Sarasota, and alto they all have great attributes, but I still gravitate to the expanse of Panama City area and Pensacola for beautiful beaches.

I don't do Florida. I like Hawaii, Mexico and Southern California beaches.

01-02-2013, 09:53 AMGuess I am focusing on the 'town' rather than the 'beach' aspect of the best beach town in Florida question.
Miami has the widest variety of options as far a a town/city is concerned. I've lost all interest in Key West. As for the remaining towns on the list, most of them are pretty quiet.
Pensacola and the adjacent areas have the most beautiful beaches in the state.

01-18-2013, 12:50 PMCome on, kyshel! Don't whine about those little critters. They don't eat much. I should know, I get covered in them when I am cleaning up my boat after fishing our of Key Largo.
Oh, btw, 41 years ago, there must have been only 50 or 60 people living in Stuart, Florida. What kind of school was there in those days?
