Where are you from and how did you find out about LL?
Hello All,
I'm from Edinburgh and discovered LL in April 08 from just surfing the net.
Anyone else care to share?

Hi Snapyou,
I'm from the Northwest (USA) and I've been an LL addict for so long I cannot remember when I started, but I know it has to be about 5 or so years ago, because I think that is when I purchased my first deal going to Australia. I usually peruse LL daily to see what is new, what comments have come in, and drool over some amazing packages and let my friends know when I see something really cool on LL that they might like. Ohhh... if I only would win the lottery, I'd immeidately purchase about 10 packages right now!

Hi Snapyou,
Nice to see another Scot on the forum. I'm from your neck of the woods too(Broxburn)There are very few of us Scots, but a lot more now than there were when I joined.I cannot remember how long I have been on here, and unfortunately don't post as often as I used to but still come on regularly as I find everyone on here so friendly and there is always a wealth of information available too.
I'm hoping to start posting more regularly again and hope I can be of help to others again too.

Hi all-
I'm from Montreal, but living in Louisiana right now. This past November I was scanning the New York Times and they ran an article
http://travel.nytimes.com/2008/12/21...bargain&st=cse
about travel bargains around the holiday season due to the economic slump we're experiencing. I've lived in a couple different countries and found that its sometimes difficult to find the truly exotic, luxurious hotels/spas without a direct recommendation. So far, the properties and experiences here look great and the majority of hotels measure up to their claims via outside websites that provide candid traveler reviews. I've yet to take my first trip using a Luxury Link property, however I hope to soon somewhere in the US I have to go for business anyway.

hi A. Thanks for the post. Yes, LL is a great find especially for travel bargains. Many of us have been enjoying these "deals" even before the world events took a turn. We are here for you if you have any questions. (and hopefully you can add some information about your travels!!) Kudos!

Congratulations on your new VIP status, snapyou. I'm from Oregon and I was surfing the internet in the spring of 2008 and happened to stumble onto Luxury Link. I've become an LL addict ever since, checking the new offers, community board, and contests every day.
Some people may be a bit reluctant to reveal too much about where they live because one member was personally contacted by phone and she was quite frightened by the experience. It's too bad that we live in a world where we have to take such things into consideration.
Welcome to the community.

Thanks for that Piranha!
Not sure if "VIP"staus brings any other benefits other than the gift certificate.
Do you happen to know?

As far as I know, VIP members don't received any benefits other than the gift certificate, which is a pretty substantial award. Have you decided how you're going to spend yours?
