02-15-2009, 06:39 PMWhere is your next trip?
I will be going on a cruise in early March on the Regent Seven Seas Navigator ( a cruise line with offers on LL
), leaving from Ft.Lauderdale and stopping in Key West and Grand Cayman. The best part is this trip is free, I won it in a promotion from my grocery store of all places! It should be a nice little getaway.
So post up, where is everyone else headed?

Re: Where is your next trip?
I'm heading for Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende and Queretaro in March for spring break. In July I'm going on an Alaskan cruise.
Congratulations on winning the cruise. What does it include? Do you have to pay for your airfare to get to the port?

Thailand!!!!!!!!!! We've decided to go in July-totally in the planning stage right now, but my partner and I decided last week. It looks like its going to be around three weeks-perhaps with a detour into Laos and Vietnam.

Re: Where is your next trip?
Congrats bridybo--everyone loves free trips!! We just did a short cruise and it was fun.
Our next trip is probably 3 nights in Cairo just for the Giza/city introduction (I've been 2X way back when...)
Since I get to take a few airline layovers w/pilot husband, I may see Brussels next month. But our next "real" trip will be Costa Rica (probably Finca Rosa Blanca package) and a spa stay near the hot springs/volcanic area.
The Thailand/Asia tour sounds awesome!! (We really liked Thailand and Bali was outstanding)
Our safari in Sept is in the works and could be in combination with either the Grootbos Reserve or Victoria Falls. My husband will be with legendary Brian McFarlane next week: http://sharkcagediving.net/ in South Africa--hope he makes it home in one piece!!
carpe trippem, folks!!

Re: Where is your next trip?
Congratulations on winning your cruise. That is the kind of news we all love to hear. Hope you have a wonderful time?
We are off in 6 weeks time to Leopard Hills. Never done a safari before, so really excited about that.
We are off to Dubai in July for a week(7th visit), then supposed to be going to St. Lucia in October. This time staying at Jade Mountain. We are getting a free double upgrade and lots of other "extras" thrown in, so couldn't resist.

Thanks for the congrats everyone
. Flights to Ft.Lauderdale are included as well as all food and drink, and we also get a $200 credit for shore excursions. A cruise is not my normal travel style but I'm not one to say no to a free trip.
In late May we are looking at either Costa Rica (I've got my eye on the La Mansion Inn package) or Las Vegas/Southern Utah as there are some fantastic deals in Vegas right now.
To those of you planning safaris I am quite jealous, a safari is definitely on my wish list.I would love to be able to photograph cheetahs.
Piranha-I hope your Alaska cruise stops in Seward and that you're able to spend some time on the Kenai Peninsula, it's absolutely breathtaking.
