Why Not Chile?
TravelerBen_ll, there needs to be a better effort to secure some nice luxury properties in Chile. I know the site featured several locations in the, but now there really is nothing.
Several of the community members visited some of those old properties and had great experiences.
In my case, I am not so interested in visiting the Atacama in Chile but would prefer more choices further south.
How about the wine regions south of Santiago?
How about some choices heading down further south into the lakes region or even down into Patagonia?
In my opinion, your site is way overloaded with Costa Rica and not nearly enough choices for deeper into South America.
I had such a great time with the O-E properties in Peru and now I want to move south into Chile.

I second your ideas!!! We are planning to head back at the end of the year. There are so many boutique wine properties in both Chile and Argentina. And...let's not forget Uruguay. LL had properties years ago. The wine route in both countries has some fascinating choices. (Finca Adalgisa, Cavas Wine Lodge, etc.)

Cavas Wine Lodge is GORJUS!!!! Somewhat on the pricey side for the packages but the inclusions are quite fine!
I second getting both of those properties on LL--I'll be there as soon as they do!
Thanks for the info!"wherever you go, there you are"

06-03-2012, 10:47 AMI totally agree with you mountie.
Chile has had a fair representation of properties in the past.
Now, choices in the country have completely evaporated.
I feel properties in Costa Rica over saturate the Central & South America section for Luxury Link. I actually enjoy Costa Rica and have been there several times. However, and for whatever the reasons, Chile, as far a Luxury Link is concerned, appears to be a destination of the past.
Not a complaint, just stating an opinion.

Agree with Mountie, but not only Chile for new properties. I would also like to see more properties in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Northern Italy and Eastern European countries. The Dollar is growing stronger in these countries and LL ought to try to take advantage of it with offering some new European properties.

Yes, mountie, it does seems much if South America is under represented here on Luxury Link. There is a nice selection in Argentina, but not most of the other countries.
I hope the Sales Team can push ahead for more South American countries and a much wider selections of properties....there have been some excellent choices in the past and we took advantage of a number of those offerings.
j-s-2...I also find it strange to continue to lump Central & South America into one group.- Ω -

I agree - CA and SA should be separate goupings and more needs to be offered for both. I was glad to see more in Nicaragua and I am looking forward to the 2 packages I will be using there. Airfare to Argentina & Chile is still a bit steep for my liking but do plan to eventually get there. There has been one package to Paraguay which I hear is an interesting place to go and Uruguay has been an up and coming destination for around 1 year now
Roam if you want to, roam around the world...........

O--are you in Mendoza now? My nephew was sous chef for a night last week at Los Chocos private restaurant.

Nope....back in MIA. Have heard nice things about Los Chocos and Michael. We found a similar 'private dining' vegetarian experience in BA (Portenos are starting to expanding private dining....many, many interesting opportunities).
I'm sure your nephew enjoyed the evening and working along side Michael.- Ω -

06-10-2012, 08:55 AMI really anticipate Luxury Link reloading in the near future some more properties in other South American countries. No doubt more and more travelers are heading all over South America and no reason for Luxury Link to miss out on the business.
I'll continue to observe future possibilities!
