Hey Fellow Community Memberswe just spent the past weekend in SouthBeach at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival. This is not a commercial post, but rather a hardy recommendation to consider joining us and few thousand of our friends next year. If great weather, great wine& food and a party environment are not your style.than you can stop reading!
.............however.............
If you want to get a glimpse of the fun and you may enjoy next year, just click on the following (BTW, we spoke with several couples who flew in fromvarious European citiesfor the gig:http://www.sobewineandfoodfest.com/2007/index.php- Ω -

I was just watching a food channel special about this food & wine festival. It looks like tons of fun....and February is a great time of year to escape down to Miami. I will definitely look it into it for next year.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi O,
I didn't realize this was sponsored by Food Network (Great Channel). I definitely want to check this event out for next year, those awesome looking burgers would be reason enough for me to fly in as, I am a self proclaimed burger connoisseur. Let me know if you can get me in as a judge for that event next year ...

Sounds like we all seem to love to travel, drink good wine and eat fabulous food. Count us in! There is only one problem, the hotels seem to be booked one year in advance. Maybe LL can help us, and set up a few packages. Can you imagine what a great package they would be able to put together for The South Beach Food Show?

Hey Luxury Link, you need to organize some auction packages to South Beach next year during this festival! I love South Beach...such a party and fun destination...great restaurants, clubs and people looking to have a great holiday!

Re: Wine, Parties & Warm Sunny Weather
The photos on the SoBe Wine & Food Festival web site were focused on the young, rich, beautiful and fun-loving crowd....unfortunately, we only qualified for the "fun-loving" category, so we were not featured. FYI....the follow-up newspaper stories have indicated this festival is now larger than Aspen.....so mark your calendars. We have passed along the contact names and telephone numbers to LL in hopes they will be able to develop some joint marketing and possible auction packages for next year.mary-j wrote:

Hey Omegaet, how come you live in such a great place like Florida and you never write about it? Curtiejoe is always writing things about Canada! Jashermd is always writing about South Africa, but I think he lives in England! LL-Travelfan writes about all of the places she lives (is it four of five homes she has?). Mary-j even write about Scotland, at least once or twice! What about Florida?

Fellow Community Members....the 2008 South Beach Wine & Food Festival http://www.sobewineandfoodfest.com/corporate/index.htmis just six months away.....it's not to early to start making plans if you are going to be part of one of the best parties of the year! Several of you threatened to attend for certain!

Hi O
Thanks for the reminder! Is there a package we could buy with several activites included, or do we have to buy them individually. I wonder if there are any hotels affiliated with the Festival. How did you go about it last year?
