winning VIP?

Just been thinking to myself that it is way past the 6 months that they said they would pick a VIP contributor to win the free trip. Unless, they have already chosen someone and I just missed the announcement? If not, when are you going to pick the lucky winner? Anyway, "Good luck to all VIP contributors".

Hi. I posted this question on the community boards and had not heard back from the LL moderators. We actually started the program around4th quarter of 2006. We thought there would be someone chosen by March 31st, 2007? Mountie: Had you spoken with anyone about the 6/30 date? That would be great if it was definite.

Yes, it would be interesting to find out how they plan to make their decision. I do hope they are going to pick a name "out a hat" at least that way we all have the same chance of winning. I have a sneaky feeling though, they are going to pick the person who has contributed most to the forum. Well, we willl just have to wait and see. Anyway,"GOOD LUCK"to everyone and looking forward to Wednesday when the first VIP winner is announced.

From another posting, it appears that the drawing for a winner will be handled in a very fair way, by including every VIP member and drawing a name "out of a hat". LL indicated that we will have a one in fourteen chance to win.

I couldn't imagine any other way but by a drawing. The VIPS contribute in such varied ways that it would be nearly impossible to select any way but chance. The judging criteria would be far too difficult to determine--I KNOW I wouldn't want the job!
