WOW...Auction Winners Getting Help...
...with booking reservations. This is a great change and should eliminate some of the problems some of the individual winners have experienced in the past attempting to deal directly with the properties. Nothing like the A-Team of J. Sanchez and J. Wilson getting the details done for us!

The changes are indicated at the bottom of this announcement.
_____________________________
How To Bid
It's easy for anyone to place a bid. Just follow these steps.
1.Once you're a registered Luxury Link member, carefully review the package and its valid travel dates.
2.Enter your maximum bid in the box on the page, and then click the Place Bid button. Luxury Link automatically bids on your behalf up to your maximum bid.
3.You'll be prompted to confirm your bid and enter your credit card information if we don't already have it on file.
You'll receive an email confirming your bid. If you're the highest bidder at the close of the auction, you will get another email indicating you are the winner, and it will outline the next steps.
Remember, each bid you place is a binding agreement, and if you win the Auction you're obligated to purchase the package.
After Winning - How to Book your Package
All reservations are made and coordinated through the Luxury Link Travel Concierge. Once reservations have been confirmed, the confirmation number and details will be sent directly to the auction winner.

Hi J. Thanks for bringing this up also. I did see the post by LL explaining the new service under the community. I think this is fantastic!

Re: WOW...Auction Winners Getting Help...
Good catch of details, j-s-2. I finally located the same information on the "Bid Box." Sounds like a lot more work for the Travel Concierge personnel....but could reduce the reservation difficulties some people mention from time to time. We've never had any problems booking our reservations directly.

Re: WOW...Auction Winners Getting Help...
Thanks for pointing this out about the help with the concierge desk. I would like to say that I have never had any problem with booking a LL win directly with the property... in fact, every place I've called has been excited/delighted that I purchased their package and am redeeming it. I guess I've just been lucky.

Re: WOW...Auction Winners Getting Help...
CMDAVILACLI...we've never had a single problem in the past booking our winning auctions directly with the properties....not even a tiny "hiccup." We've handled our reservations directly by both email and telephone and in almost all cases, we have received additional confirmations by email from the properties.
We only noticed a few "complaints" or "problems" mentioned in posting here in the community.....so didn't seem to be a wide spread problem.
My calculated guess on the driving forces behind this change would be something akin to internal accounting/accountability for LL.
That said, its just fine with us to use anyone on the concierge desk for additional assistance.....Jim has helped us a couple of times for some "exceptions" involving Best Buy trips!- Ω -

I applaud the offering. For the slightly increased auction fee, it would be a valuable asset for new clients.

Re: WOW...Auction Winners Getting Help...
kyshel, this looks like an increase of $10.00 for a service none or at least few every requested or saw a need for in the past. Am I seeing this incorrectly?

t-2-f, well, it is a $10 increase over the previous $30 fee when we were totally responsible. You won't hear me complaining about the increase. I'll be just as happy to let the staff at LL handle all of the details. Anyone else got a complaint about the increase?
