I don't even look at other offerings, since Luxury Link has been good to me.

05-22-2012, 01:24 AMIt seems like the market place is flooded with special travel deals these days. I see at least one or more everyday in my email in box. Although I check with Luxury Link first and my last two leisure trips have been through them, I do admit to evaluating other offers from time to time.
I keep coming back to Luxury Link more or less because of the extra perks included in their great packages.
Keep them coming.

05-23-2012, 07:01 AMI do look at many of the other offers which load up my email box. Although many or at least some of them have tempting prices, I still come back to Luxury Link because of the 'whole perk loaded' packages.
As other have mentioned previously, I have learned taxes and others fees can really get out of control when not wrapped up in the initial purchase.
Guess you can count me among the faithful.

The only time we travel non Luxury Link is when we want to go someplace that LL does not have on their site - Yucatan, Mexico (LL for the most part only has Cancun), Ecuador, Peruvian Amazon (recently LL has had 1 package in Peruvian Amazon)
Roam if you want to, roam around the world...........

05-24-2012, 09:07 PMI'm starting to look and puchase from other sites although I still like Luxury Link the best. Unfortunately, the packages and deals being offered in Southern California (only my opinion) aren't quite as good as they used to be compared to even a year ago and new hotels/new regions aren't showing up quite as frequently. Hope they keep getting new hotels/locations/packages in So. Cal.

I would be remiss NOT to look but have been able to maintain my fidelity for LL.
I was tempted:
Blogs - Decisions, decisions... - Community Forum | Luxury Link
Since I would have had to cancel that purchase, I'm glad I didn't do it!"wherever you go, there you are"

05-27-2012, 02:04 PMGood question!
I often pose the same to my husband!
In the case of travel faithfulness, it is all but impossible to not explore many alternatives available today. As for Luxury Link, it is difficult to beat their multi-day packages, especially with all of the perks and taxes included.

Yes, my preference for Luxury Link is still number One. Unfortunately, because of the regions we travel to in Europe, we are forced to look elsewhere. LL properties in Switzerland, Northern Italy, Austria, Germany, etc. are basically non-existent. We have a section of "Suggested Properties" in the Forum, we all keep adding our suggestions to it. However, I wonder whether LL ever looks at those suggested properties??????
In Europe, there are some very good sites that come close to LL offerings, adding breakfast and often half pension to the deal for 2 to 3 nights, but these are mostly 4 star hotels. For the truly 5-star properties, LL has a greater hold on them.

Great question. We always purchase through LL but I do search other sites. I like LL because most of the time all the taxes, fees, breakfasts, etc are typically included. However, lately, I seem to have noticed some LL offerings adding fees to be paid to the hotel directly. For example, The Inn at Perry Cabin now has an additional "resort" fee of 10% (as per the auction: "Price does not include mandatory 10% resort fee, based on regular price, payable to the hotel directly." ) Yikes. These additional fees concern me.

These resort fees can add up quickly. Italy has just instituted a room charge of 6 euros per person per day. Stay for 3 nights, for 2 people, that adds on an extra 36 euros or about $50 per package.
