Aman Resorts (discounted/deal)

OK, I know this is not likely, but a girl can dream can't she?



Aman resorts are regularly featured on luxurylink, but when ever I've done the math, the packages offer zero savings versus regular rack rates. I would love to see some packages for AMAN resorts that offer a good deal/discount.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this, but I guess not! Hear, hear, I totally agree. Otherwise, there's no incentive to book from LL as opposed to booking directly with the property (which I often do if LL is not offering a property at a time I would like to travel).

Oh well, back to the dream...

As you probably know, the Amans have a policy of no discounted rates. There was an exception right after the tsunami, when they offered 50% off their rates for the Phuket and Sri Lanka properties. I had a reservations for Phuket...but unfortunately did not make it there in time to take advantage of the discount. Also, I have noticed that they are offering a 3 night package at the their Amanbagh property in Rajastan which is essentially a discounted rate.
