This could be an excellent addition to the Portugal portfolio.....the property is unique and in the main wine growing region....plus, they are looking for more visitors from the US.

Thanks for the suggestion...Casas do Côro looks looks like a divine property. I'll pass your suggestion onto our partnerships team.

TravelerBen_ll & j-s-2...
The Douro Valley region of Portugal has long been a favorite destination of UK travelers and is now catching on with more and more travelers from the US.....not only world famous for Port but now starting to be noted for some interesting red wines. We are attempting to zero in on a trip to that area later in the fall of this year....LL already has a couple of nice properties in Portugal.
Another addition would be the Azores and Madeira. LL has had a property in Maderia but never the Azores. Great addition to Portugal (or the US!) We enjoyed Madeira and are now trying to coordinate a trip to the Azores and a Portugal add on. We enjoy Portugal and it is still relatively less touristy than some locations.
Reid's Palace looks just fine to us as a place we could stay during a visit to Maderia:

....and yes, j-s-2, Portugal is moving up our list for an upcoming visit.
Another idea is to look at the Pousadas. We stayed at Palmela Pousada about 10 years ago. BEAUTIFUL!! Nice way to see the country.
bonniejoy03....thanks for the Pousadas suggestion.....probably will not be fitting into our plans for this visit to Portugal.
Have begun to receive some interesting suggestions from others who have visited and spent time exploring the Douro Valley region.....thought this was a unique structure:
