How about some classic old-school American hotels? I know I've suggested The Grand Hotel in Michigan before, but also what about the Cloister on Sea Island? I haven't seen much in Georgia on LL and although it's been decades since I've been there, it was a fabulous resort to stay at with lots of activities (I remember a wonderful seaside seafood barbecue) and lots of charm.
On that same note, the Broadmoor in Colorado is also lovely. Another nice historic hotel that I haven't been to but which is on my "hope to see soon" list is the Ahwahnee in Yosemite.

The Broadmoor has been offered before; don't recall seeing the Grand in Michigan, tho. I doubt they have much interest in advertising since they are usually booked fully in most seasons that you can access the island.
Cloister Sea Island rings a bell but not sure if it's been on LL?
All those suggestions are certainly "pure Americana"."wherever you go, there you are"
