How about cruises
Has LL ever considered adding some cruises to the listings - there are some nice small ships out there that I would not mind sailing on

11-19-2010, 02:15 PMLL infrequently offers a limited number of cruises, but I would like to see more than the odd few!!
Nile cruises, like dahabiya sail boats like Nour el Nil, steamers like the Sudan or Lake Nasser trips?? ANd so on--good idea, dhdanner.
maybe we'll get new goodies 2011?!"wherever you go, there you are"

Interesting point. The Moorings offers trips other than rentals. They have some pretty interesting packages for sailing trips with small groups. Maybe The Moorings would work with LL?

I just got the new brochure from Oceania - there is an awesome 45 day cruise that I would love to do - starts in Hong Kong and ends in Athens with wonderful stops in between - would be nice to be retired and rich!!

I hadn't opened my brochure until you mentioned it--thanks! that cruise looks incredible but way too long for me! and $$$
I did see a great African rivers cruise being offered on voyage-prive--on a yacht!! Very well-priced for an exotic trip (not totally inclusive like Silverseas, etc) but fascinating itinerary"wherever you go, there you are"

I just got an email about this one and seriously ready to book for next year, along with another few days in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand.

12-21-2010, 02:22 PM[email protected], LL offered a variety of cruise packages for years. I think they have decided to drop that category, since there are so many other sites involved in discounting cruise trips. I could be wrong. but that's my guess.

Yes but LL could do the off the beaten track and luxury cruises. Most discounters do the usual Carnival, etc and same old routes
The hubby & I like small ships (less than 300 at least) and not many of them around anymore or they are way too expensive!
