More Relais& Chateaux Properties PLEASE
Hi,
We have been followers of the prestigious Relais&Chateaux group, one of the world's finest restaurant and hotel collection. Their trademark are the "5Cs", meaning "Charm, Courtesy, Comfort, Calm, and Cuisine", and all their establishments live by it. I have visited close to a hundred of these places and have never gone wrong by it. You already have some of their properties in your portfolio, but it would be wonderful if you could enlist more of them. It would be wonderful, if you could also include some of their outstanding "Relais Gourmands" into your program.

Re: More Relais& Chateaux Properties PLEASE
Hello,
What I'd like to see are some Relais and Chateaux packages, combining two or three R&C properties with 4 days or so at each, Tthis would work well in Europe where there are so many of them. Just think of a fortnight in France, moving from one R&C to the next...now that would be heaven!
Or how about a Relais and Chateaux bush and beach combination in South Africa? There are some R&C safari lodges which are wonderful.
Cheers,
Julian

Hi L
Relais & Chateaux hotels are definitely a great way to travel. We needed a little rest so we drove to Quebec City for the week-end, and stayed at Auberge Saint Antoine in Old Quebec, which is now a R & C. I would also go as far as saying that Panache the restaurant on site is the best in the district. This auberge was onceavailable on LL, I would love to see it return at auction.

Hi two2go and jashermd,
The Relais&Chateaux group is a very exclusive group of individual hotels and we have never had a bad stay in any of them. Some years ago, before LL appeared, I organized a 3-week trip for us with my parents-in-law and stayed in R&C properties exclusively. We flew into Nice, stayed at the "Chateau d'Eze" in Eze, then the "Petit Nice - Passedat" in Marseille, moved on to "Ousteau de Beaumaniere" in Les-Beaux-de-Provence now on LL, then "Domain d'Auriac" in Carcassonne, "Chateau de Castel Novel" near Limoge, "Chateau de Roumegouse" near Rocamadour, "Chateau de Nieul" in Nieul, "Chateau Marcay" near Chinon, "Chateau d'Esclimont" in Saint Symphorien near Chartre, "Les Crayiers" in Reims and the "Hotel Crillon" in Paris before flying back to the States. This was a most unforgettable trip and we all still talk about it. We haven't done anything that grandious since....

Re: More Relais& Chateaux Properties PLEASE
Hello,
I have seen the occasional R&C property on LL but it's a challenge to seek them out. It would be nice if the search function allowed us to locate R&C properties more easily. This could also work well for OE properties.
Cheers,
Julian

hi jashermd,
Good suggestion, I think it is a question for LL programming and also, if LL is willing to let us search for specific vendor groups. I suppose it could be done, if LL is willing to give us this search function. LL_ Moderators please take note.

I am going to agree. We have never stayed at a R&C property that has not been great. Throughout our travels we have met couples who will not stay at a property unless it is a R&C member. The hotels we have stayed at have been older hotels with very interesting histories and rooms that are very individually decorated. We also like Small Luxury Hotels of the World, another great group.

I generally support the inclusion of more R&C properties.
I'd also like to mention that there is a subgroup of R&C propertiesare especially good for food
So, if you are particularly interested in gourmet food, look for "Relais Gourmand" classification within the R&C lists.
