Reminds me a little of the Ariau Towers LL offering from a few years back (great trip BTW)

maybe a 4-5 nt stay w/Quito bookends (property is several hours via air/boat from the capitol)

We were in the Napo area of Ecuador in 2001 - this is when we stayed on the floating hotel (flotel)- it is a pretty amazing area. We flew from Quito to Coca - about a 1hr flight, then did a 2 hour boat ride to the flotel and slowly cruised the area on the Napo river (a trib of the Amazon) -wildlife was awesome and not at all touristy like the Brazilian Amazon or northern Peru Amazon.
