NEW Destinations
I hope LL has taken a microscopic look at the new issue of Travel + Leisure and is already lining up new properties located some of the "emerging destinations where the dollar still goes far..."

Re: NEW Destinations
Hi Kyshel. Haven't had an opportunity to look at it yet. What is high on the list? I wonder if the list will need to be readjusted after the past few days (economic situation here and abroad.)
Let's just keep travelling!!!!

Re: NEW Destinations
Mazatlan, Con Dao (Vietnam) and a few locations in Indonesia. There are some really choice spots!
One place we were near last year is Pranburi, Thailand. We stayed at an isolated, zen-like LL villa offering, the AKA Hua Hin (30 mins north of Pranburi). It's about 4 hours from Bangkok and very accessible by rail or private car. It's a mix of "old" Thai beach towns and a great destination to add to a visit to Bangkok.
One of the LL properties in the Marquesas is shown, too.
Anyone interested in the Andaman Islands?"wherever you go, there you are"

Re: NEW Destinations
Wow....Mazatlan? We were there about 10 years ago and spring break was just ending. What a crazy place. Very large, very commercial, lots of people. Not our cup of tea. The prices were good though. Food and accommodations were inexpensive. Not as popular for people on the East Coast. That really surprises me.

Re: NEW Destinations
All in the perspective, yes? Spring break 10 years ago in MX would have motivated me to go to Acapulco and throw myself off a diving cliff!! The description in T&L is very different from what you must have encountered? I was thinking about our recent trip to Antigua, Guatemala and how disappointing the town was--teeming with tourists and chaos.
