I've been to Whiteface andreally liked it there.The suites have a feel of a Bed and Breakfast, but the innis large enough to have a sense of community among the various travellers staying there. It is located in the heart of Lake Placid, so you can easily get to the skating rink on an off-day away from skiing, and you can easily get to plenty of apres ski locations.
